Zombieland Review

Zombieland Review

Well, if you havn’t yet seen or even heard of Zombieland
, then you may be in danger.

Zombieland
is a survival guide/user’s manual for surviving in the post-human world of zombie movies, and a damn funny one at that.

The lead character, simple known as “Columbus”, named for the town he is heading towards in the movie, lists his rules to survival and the movie adheres to them.

Rules will flash on the screen or appear throughout the movie when the usefulness surfaces. Rules such as #1. Cardio,…#4. Always wear seatbelts,… and #32. Enjoy the little… things all come in handy when you are the last 4 humans on earth. The movie is one of a kind in how it guides you through life in Zombieland.

Traveling with Tallahasee (Woody Harrelson) Columbus travels across the country surviving con artist girls, zombies and killer clowns.

Woody is the end-all be-all ass kicker of zombie haters. Woody can be seen with golf clubs, hedge clippers and baseball bats kicking the daylights out of any zombie who crosses his path. The glee in Woody’s eye is all the comedy this movies needs.

The comedy goes well beyond just this though as Bill Murray has a lengthy cameo as himself. Murray’s scenes are excellent fall out of your seat comedy youd expect fromt he master. The movie and cross country trip in search of the last twinkie and some peace from the zombies ends in a 20 gun mowdown of every zombie in an amusement park and our hero getting the girl.

The movie leaves it wide open and sets up a sequel which is great news from this creative and fun movie. Nothing as joyful as mowing down some zombies, and this movie makes the most of that joy with great roles by Murray and Woody Harrelson.

Zombieland
is alive and kicking with a four star review. 4/5 stars.
