Not just a cute face
(By Kathleen Purvis, SouthPark Magazine) It’s easy to say that Daijua-Corin Miller is as cute as the cupcakes she makes.

Her cupcakes have bright colors with carefully swirled frosting tops. Daijua ( “DAY-jah” – her mother named her after Tyra Banks’ character in the movie “Higher Learning”) is just as bright herself – huge smile, shining eyes and eyelashes so long that her mother, Lanelle, says they look like a giraffe’s.

Custard will impress New Year’s company

We never thought we could turn out the smooth custards we love in restaurants until we tried Creme Custard with Berries, adapted from the crème brûlée at a former Raleigh restaurant called the Wicked Smile.
