I checked this point to see if its Valid, and this years stats and last years appear about dead even for Wade.

I actually could find only one stat that seems to have changed dramatically, and that is Offensive rebounds. Wade is on pace to have 30-40% less than last year, a stats that is surely due to Shaq not eating up rebounders under the rim. O Rebounds = easy points, so last year that was one effect of having shaq I didnt even consider, he likely raised everyones scoring 2-4 points a game on allowing them to be free for putbacks.

Also Wade is on pace to have 4 times as many 3 pointers made this year, a 400% increase. I wouldnt call that typical, so perhaps that is clouding up the stats a bit too.

Also dont forget Alonzo Mourning is having a Stellar career year at his age, perhaps his best year since 2000-2001, so that to dilutes this point.

Wade is yes having an equally good year, but he is having the best year of his career in 3 pointers, so that means less going to the hoop, and shaq has been absent replaced by another HOF’er having a solid year, add in the Capono is the best 3 pt shooter in the league and still Wade is FAR from all alone out there.

If you watched the Series with Detroit the past two years, his offensive fouls and thrown away balls in those series have cost them games, without going to check stats Id recall 5-6 turnovers per game in those series.

But I would take Wade on my team before I would Lebron, I think Wade is a better player than Lebron because he has better range and is better at the stripe.

But Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA, and any person who doesnt think Gilbert Arenes Is as good or better than Wade as well is not being objective.

(Manu Ginobli Im looking at you too), and my other objection is with any commentator that works so hard to Push the Wade is like Jordan conversation, when as the statistics show, Wade isnt even the best in the NBA, much less in a conversation about Jordan.

1. Dwayne Wade shoots more free throws than any player in the league.
A) That’s because he continously attacks the basket and is not afraid of contact. Yes, just like all the other superstars, he will get a lot of calls going his way.
B) “Someone” has to lead the league in this category- so if it wasn’t Wade, would you be writing the same thing about Zach Randolph? I don’t think so.

2. Wade had 16 points per game before Shaq arrived and 24 point per game after Shaw arrived in Miami. Wide open lanes that have no center to guard the hoop.
A) We all know that having Shaq on a team makes everyone better. Now, in case you think Wade is this good bec. he has Shaq on his team, why don’t you check out his stats for this year(Shaq has missed about 40 games so far this year). No Shaq for most of this season and his numbers are “better than ever”.

A) Yes, Wade had a terrible game last thursday but he still won the game ‘by himself’.
B) Wade was the Heat’s PG on his first year and has had to play the PG at various times during this season, which means he is handling the ball alot more than Kobe or most players would.
