I too miss Mark Mathis! We moved here nearly two years ago and I couldn't wait to watch the Fox news just so I could see Mark and his antics. He always did put a smile on my face - something we can all use today! I wish I could watch him on the web at his new station.

Also have you seen WADE as the second highest turnovers per game this year.

And 2nd highest per game last year.

And 2nd highest per game the year before that.

And the only player in the top 3 any of those years playing with Hall fo fame teammates.

If 2nd hgighest in the LEAGUE every year isnt a "turnover problem" Im not sure what is.

Why don’t you check out his stats for this year(Shaq has missed about 40 games so far this year). No Shaq for most of this season and his numbers are “better than ever”.

I checked this point to see if its Valid, and this years stats and last years appear about dead even for Wade.

I actually could find only one stat that seems to have changed dramatically, and that is Offensive rebounds. Wade is on pace to have 30-40% less than last year, a stats that is surely due to Shaq not eating up rebounders under the rim. O Rebounds = easy points, so last year that was one effect of having shaq I didnt even consider, he likely raised everyones scoring 2-4 points a game on allowing them to be free for putbacks.

Also Wade is on pace to have 4 times as many 3 pointers made this year, a 400% increase. I wouldnt call that typical, so perhaps that is clouding up the stats a bit too.

Also dont forget Alonzo Mourning is having a Stellar career year at his age, perhaps his best year since 2000-2001, so that to dilutes this point.

Wade is yes having an equally good year, but he is having the best year of his career in 3 pointers, so that means less going to the hoop, and shaq has been absent replaced by another HOF'er having a solid year, add in the Capono is the best 3 pt shooter in the league and still Wade is FAR from all alone out there.

Well Miami and Cleveland played again -
Lebron 29pts 7 boards

Wade 27 pts 1 board but more assists.

Pretty even, but as I said above.

Wade had 7 turnovers, and his team only had 15 total. Both great, one has a turnover problem that never gets mentioned.

Well you didnt provide any counter argument, you said he is #1 in free throws because someone has to be? That doesnt explain why.

Its nice to attack the rim like lebron james does as well but it all comes down to what you do on those attacks. Clearly he has the most underhand back to the basket, never intended to get a good shot off, expecting a foul shots of the 4 we compared.

I never said "Wade is good because shaq is on his team", I said Wade only got vaulted to the top 5 because of Shaq, and that to compare his "accomplishments" to LeBron as the games commentator did is unfair because Shaq, Zo, Walker and Payton are on his team.

You simplified what I said to try to establish a counterpoint. Are you implying that Lebron has even half the support of Wade? - No he doesnt.

You then acknowledge he had 12 turnovers the other day, but as you see my extensive research shows his entire career up till now he is far more turnover prone that the other stars they compare him to.

If you watched the Series with Detroit the past two years, his offensive fouls and thrown away balls in those series have cost them games, without going to check stats Id recall 5-6 turnovers per game in those series.

And lastly, my researched numbers for which you provided no counter arguments are researched quite well. The only good point you make is Wade needed to play the point more often.

I thoght I had written above, I must have edited it out.
But I would take Wade on my team before I would Lebron, I think Wade is a better player than Lebron because he has better range and is better at the stripe.

But Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA, and any person who doesnt think Gilbert Arenes Is as good or better than Wade as well is not being objective.

As you may reread and so my main objection is with any player that drives only to "draw contact"
(Manu Ginobli Im looking at you too), and my other objection is with any commentator that works so hard to Push the Wade is like Jordan conversation, when as the statistics show, Wade isnt even the best in the NBA, much less in a conversation about Jordan.

I will grant you he is the 2nd to 4rth best in a close race, if that is enough to satisfy you objective meters?

I would also like to make the early prediction that if they need to play Washington in the first round of the playoffs, 24 free throws per game wont be enough and the WIZ will bounce em.

Funny and biased post to say the least. Just from reading your post I can tell you haven't been watching too many Heat games. Let me address your so called 'arguments' one by one:

1. Dwayne Wade shoots more free throws than any player in the league.
A) That's because he continously attacks the basket and is not afraid of contact. Yes, just like all the other superstars, he will get a lot of calls going his way.
B) "Someone" has to lead the league in this category- so if it wasn't Wade, would you be writing the same thing about Zach Randolph? I don't think so.

2. Wade had 16 points per game before Shaq arrived and 24 point per game after Shaw arrived in Miami. Wide open lanes that have no center to guard the hoop.
A) We all know that having Shaq on a team makes everyone better. Now, in case you think Wade is this good bec. he has Shaq on his team, why don't you check out his stats for this year(Shaq has missed about 40 games so far this year). No Shaq for most of this season and his numbers are "better than ever".

3. Here below is the career turnovers per minute played.
A) Yes, Wade had a terrible game last thursday but he still won the game 'by himself'.
B) Wade was the Heat's PG on his first year and has had to play the PG at various times during this season, which means he is handling the ball alot more than Kobe or most players would.

Please, next time you plan to write something about a player, do your homework first and stop the hating just for a minute so you can be a litte more objective w/ your criticism.
